Rough lunch. To start, NO JACK DANIELS or even any Jack Daniels Products. Bartender Jay told us they were out. Ended up settling for Jim Beam. A beautiful view of the Caloosahatchee River and the marina was hidden by T-Shirts hanging on a line for display in front of the windows....kind of like eating lunch behind someone's clothes line in their back yard. The sudden VERY loud blast of The Village People's YMCA was startling, even with the verbal warning a few minutes earlier by the hostess. Bartended Jay explained the 2 for 1 Happy Hour deal, which was for basically everything we DON'T drink.
For the moms out there---there was no changing table in the ladies room for babies. One mom left saying "I'll change him at home." There was a mommy in the bathroom changing her son in his stroller, which blocked all other stalls. She told me that they (Joe's) used to have a changing table in the bathroom but they took it out when an "incompetent mom" wasn't paying attention to her kid who fell off the changing table.
It took a VERY long time to get 2 grilled mahi sandwiches...over 25 minutes. The manager came by and apologized for the delay. The worst part of the experience?? When we were finishing our meal, the bartender came over and told us that there WAS Jack Daniels, but the manager had moved it to another part of the bar!!! AAAARRRRRGGGHHHH. Ultimately, the manager gave us 50% off of our food bill. Here is how Joe's measured up:
POUR METER: Adequate
SERVICE METER: Good. Jay did the best he could with what he had to work with.
STAFF METER: Good
FOOD METER: Food was good, it just took too long to get it.
NOISE METER: VERY noisy
CLEAN METER: Fair
ENTERTAINMENT METER: TV in bar showing golf which was good. YMCA was deafeningly loud, but part of their fun.
KID METER: Kids can get up and dance the YMCA with the wait staff
